So much anger, so much dissent...
Is there no contentment? No calming influences? Do the distractions of a 24 hour news cycle make it impossible for 304,059,724 persons in this dis-united states to find some peace in their own sense of being?
I know I'm making gross exaggerations...but, there certainly is a lot of anger out there...the 'birthers'...what? Why? The outcry against public health care...what? Why? The word out on the right wing blogs/radio/tv...is that the government wishes to off the elderly...
When I'm drivin' in my car
and a man comes on the radio
he's tellin' me more and more
about some useless information
supposed to fire my imagination.
I can't get no, oh no no no.
Hey hey hey, that's what I say.
I can't get no satisfaction,
I can't get no satisfaction.
'Cause I try and I try and I try and I try.
I can't get no, I can't get no.
When I'm watchin' my TV
and a man comes on to tell me
how white my shirts can be.
Well he can't be a man 'cause he doesn't smoke
the same cigarrettes as me.
I can't get no, oh no no no.
Hey hey hey, that's what I say.
I can't get no satisfaction,
I can't get no girl reaction.
'Cause I try and I try and I try and I try.
I can't get no, I can't get no.
When I'm ridin' round the world
and I'm doin' this and I'm signing that
and I'm tryin' to make some girl
who tells me baby better come back later next week
'cause you see I'm on losing streak.
I can't get no, oh no no no.
Hey hey hey, that's what I say.
I can't get no, I can't get no,
I can't get no satisfaction,
no satisfaction, no satisfaction, no satisfaction.

Paradoxically, the shut-down of the AMOC and the resulting cooling of Europe will be the best proof of global warming.
As TS Eliot said in The Hollow Men, " This is the way the world ends Not with a bang but a whimper" We know not what changes...
